San Diego Favorite, Maya’s Cookies, to Open First Retail Storefront with an Official Ribbon Cutting
San Diego Based, Black-Owned, Female-Owned Gourmet Vegan Cookie Company is opening its first retail storefront creating a delicious destination for Vegans, Tourists, and Cookie Enthusiasts
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – November 5, 2020 Maya’s Cookies will have its first storefront grand opening at its current headquarters in the Grantville neighborhood of San Diego. The grand opening and ribbon cutting is slated to be held on Friday, November 6th at 10:00 am. The opening day store hours will be 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. With giveaways, prizes, and cookies galore, it will be a day of celebration and sweet excitement.
Maya’s Cookies will feature the following Gourmet Vegan Cookies on the GRAND OPENING Menu:

“Over the years, I kept the idea of a Maya’s Cookies storefront in the back of my mind, but I had been so focused on the existing business, it never quite came together— until recently. I knew when the time was right, my team and I would open a beautiful storefront. I felt the right time was now,” Maya Madsen, Founder of Maya’s Cookies states, “Over the summer with our tremendous growth, we really learned how important our connection to the community was and it drove our desire to deliver a personal, destination-driven experience for our local customers, out of town visitors, and cookie connoisseurs.”
Not only will the boutique bakery storefront be packed with delicious treats, but they will also feature local and national partners to create special in-store events, showcase partner products, and feature exclusive flavors and items. For example, at the Grand Opening, Kula Ice Cream pints will be available for sale, another local San Diego female artisan maker. Fans and customers will be able to purchase Maya’s Cookies merchandise so they can commemorate their visit.
Maya continues, “We are so excited to share Maya’s Cookies in a new way with our community and we hope everyone comes by and says hello.”
